Pet of the Month:

Leo, Nova, and Venus

Leo is the King of the Castle. This 8 year old is definitely the man of the house. When he hears trucks drive by he runs to the window to see what it’s all about. He loves to chase his sisters around the house but then will sit down and groom them affectionately. His favorite toy is a small stuffed Christmas stocking. He loves to hunt it down, meow so loud you can hear him from another floor, and then shows off his hunting skills by presenting you with his catch. He is very affectionate to all that visit and wants to be a part of the social scene.

Nova is a 6 year old American Bobtail. This Queen of the Castle is the laziest cat around. She is somewhat skittish around new folks or when we have gatherings so you won’t see her until the coast is clear. Her favorite sleeping spot is at the top of the cat condo which she barely fits in, but you can pretty much find her there most of the time. She loves her treats and will jump in the chair for them every morning. She loves to be brushed, sit on my lap when I work from home and snuggles with me on the couch in the evenings.

Venus is about 8 months old and is a very playful kitten. She was a barn cat so it took her a while to warm up to us humans. She has settled in nicely, especially with Leo … follows him around like his shadow. Venus has the most beautiful golden eyes. She loves her morning meals and will come into my room to wake me up for breakfast. She will “shark” around my feet and chirp/meow until she gets her food. She loves noisy toys and enjoys looking out the window watching the birds at the birdfeeder. She is a very shy but, sweet little princess.
